چکیده
Soil nutrients are vital for plant growth and survival present a crucial role in terrestrial function productivity. However, little is known about the effect mechanism of groundwater table on soil an arid desert ecological system. This study investigated impacts depth concentrations organic carbon (C), available nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K) at shallow depths (0.4, 0.8, 1.2, 1.8, 2.2 m) field deep (2.5, 4.5, 11.0 desert-oasis ecotone Central Asia 2015 2016. nitrate-N, inorganic-N, P, K were significantly affected by groundwater. Groundwater did not alter ammonium-N concentration. C concentration was influenced depth. Structural equation model showed that directly nitrate-N indirectly altered P Moreover, C, inorganic-N Hence, should be considered one most critical environmental factors affecting nutrient variation desert. provides new insights into under declining hyper-arid ecosystem.

Plant invasion is associated with higher plant-soil nutrient concentrations in nutrient-poor environments.
Plant invasion is an emerging driver of global change worldwide. We aimed to disentangle its impacts on plant-soil nutrient concentrations. We conducted a meta-analysis of 215 peer-reviewed articles and 1233 observations. Invasive plant species had globally higher N and P concentrations in photosynthetic tissues but not in foliar litter, in comparison with their native competitors. Invasive pla...

Groundwater Depth Affects Phosphorus But Not Carbon and Nitrogen Concentrations of a Desert Phreatophyte in Northwest China
Ecological stoichiometry is an important aspect in the analysis of the changes in ecological system composition, structure, and function and understanding of plant adaptation in habitats. Leaf carbon (C), nitrogen (N), and phosphorus (P) concentrations in desert phreatophytes can be affected by different depths of groundwater through its effect on the adsorption and utilization of nutrient and ...
متن کاملNear-stream Groundwater Correlations with Streamwater Nutrient Concentrations in an Urbanizing Watershed
We hypothesized that nutrient concentrations in streamwater within different landuse areas may be influenced by near-stream groundwater. We sampled streamwater and near-stream groundwater at 8 urban and 5 non-urban locations monthly from December 2000 through December 200 1 in urbanizing Johnson Creek watershed in Portland, Oregon. We compared soluble reactive phosphorus (SRP), total phosphorus...
متن کاملStreptomyces atacamensis sp. nov., isolated from an extreme hyper-arid soil of the Atacama Desert, Chile.
The taxonomic position of a Streptomyces strain isolated from an extreme hyper-arid soil sample collected from the Atacama Desert was determined using a polyphasic approach. The strain, isolate C60(T), had chemical and morphological features typical of members of the genus Streptomyces and formed a distinct phyletic line in the Streptomyces 16S rRNA gene tree, together with the type strain of S...
